PassMark CPU Mark figures are the published values from cpubenchmark.net, read in August 2026; dual-socket machines use PassMark's own [Dual CPU] listing rather than a doubled single-CPU score. Every server ships with a /30 IPv4 block (4 usable addresses), full root access and your choice of operating system and control panel. Need a configuration that is not listed? Tell us what you need.

We install the distribution you pick before handover, at no charge, and you keep full root afterwards, so you can reinstall or switch to something else whenever you want. Only cPanel is licensed through us; every other panel is yours to install.

The workload people ask about most

Running WordPress on a dedicated server

Most WordPress sites never need one. The ones that do usually know it already: the cart stalls at the worst possible hour, the object cache keeps getting evicted, or a plugin update takes the whole site down with it. A WordPress dedicated server removes the ceiling rather than raising it.

Signs you have outgrown shared or VPS

  • PHP workers queue during traffic peaks, so pages wait rather than render.
  • Redis or Memcached has less RAM than your object cache actually needs, so it evicts keys and the database picks up the work.
  • WooCommerce checkout and admin slow down together, because both are uncached and fighting for the same CPU.
  • You are running staging, cron, backups and search indexing on the machine that also serves visitors.
  • A neighbouring account’s load changes your response times and you cannot see or influence it.

What changes on bare metal

  • Every core is a PHP worker. These machines carry 6 to 32 cores and 12 to 64 threads, all yours, so worker count stops being a rationed setting.
  • The object cache fits in RAM. 16 to 64 GB of ECC memory means Redis holds the whole working set instead of thrashing.
  • You choose the stack. LiteSpeed, NGINX, Apache, whichever PHP build, your own OPcache and MySQL tuning. Nothing is imposed and nothing is off limits.
  • RAID is your decision. RAID 1 or 10 for a database that must not lose a write, RAID 0 for a rebuildable cache tier.
  • Staging lives on the same box. No second bill, no syncing across providers.

Not there yet? That is the common answer, and saying so costs us a sale today rather than a refund next month. Our WordPress hosting handles most sites, and a VPS is the usual step in between. Move to bare metal when the machine is the limit, not before.

What’s included with every dedicated server

The same package on all seven machines, whichever one you order. Operating system and RAID layout are yours to choose at no charge; the only paid extra is a cPanel licence, and only if you want one.

Full root access

SSH and root from the first minute. Install any stack, tune the kernel, run software we have never heard of.

A /30 IPv4 block

Four usable addresses with every server, included in the price. No per-IP charge and no request queue.

10 TB premium transfer

Monthly transfer over redundant carriers, measured and not shaped. Past 10 TB, traffic is billed at $0.30 per GB in arrears.

1 Gbps uplink

A gigabit port into the Detroit facility, carried by more than one upstream provider.

RAID, your way

RAID 0, 1 and 5 on every machine, plus RAID 6 and 10 on the dual Xeon Silver 4114. Or no RAID at all.

24/7 helpdesk support

Open a ticket from your account at any hour and it reaches the people who rack and run this hardware, not a queue that reopens on Monday.

Straight answers

Questions to ask before you order.

What is included and what is not, who is responsible for backups, what happens when hardware fails, and whether you need to run the machine yourself.

An entire physical machine allocated to you alone. Every CPU core, all the RAM and all the storage are yours, with no virtualisation layer and no neighbouring accounts. That is the difference from shared hosting and from a VPS, where the hardware is divided between customers.

Full root access, a /30 IPv4 block with four usable addresses, 10 TB of premium bandwidth on a 1 Gbps uplink, your choice of RAID level and operating system, and 24/7 helpdesk support. There is no setup fee on any billing term. A cPanel licence is the only paid extra, and only if you want one.

Yes, and that is a common reason to move to one. The practical limit is the machine, not a policy: how much RAM your databases and object caches need, and how many PHP workers your traffic keeps busy. With a control panel you can also give each site its own account.

Every server ships with a /30 IPv4 block, which gives you four usable addresses at no extra charge. If you need more than that, for separate mail reputation or additional SSL endpoints, ask before you order and we will tell you what is possible on that machine.

Whichever you like. cPanel and WHM can be licensed through us at checkout, priced by account count, and it runs on AlmaLinux, CloudLinux and Ubuntu 24.04. Everything else on our list you install yourself with root access, and several of them are free. Running with no panel at all is a normal choice on bare metal.

No, and we would rather say so plainly. Our terms are explicit that clients maintain their own backups and that we are not liable for data loss. What the hardware gives you is the ability to build the backup you actually want: RAID 1 or 10 against a failed drive, plus your own off-site copies. Tell us what you have in mind and we will help you set it up.

Hardware replacement happens within one to eight hours of the issue being confirmed. If it takes longer, our SLA credits 5% of the monthly fee for each additional eight hours, up to the full month. We keep pre-built systems and pre-installed drives on hand so a replacement does not wait on a supplier.

Completely. Choose the distribution, the PHP builds, the web server, MySQL or MariaDB tuning, kernel parameters, the caching layer. Nothing is imposed and nothing is locked. That is the point of root access.

It is the answer when the machine has become the limit: PHP workers queuing at peak, an object cache that no longer fits in RAM, or a database competing with the web server for the same cores. If none of that describes your site yet, a VPS is usually the better value.

These machines are unmanaged: we are responsible for the hardware, the network and the facility, and you are responsible for the operating system, security patches and the software you install. Our helpdesk answers questions around the clock and will help you when something goes wrong, but the day-to-day administration of the box is yours.

You need to be comfortable at a command line, or to have someone who is. A control panel covers most routine work, but patching, hardening and tuning are yours to do. If that does not describe you, shared or WordPress hosting will serve you better, and we would rather say so now.

A 24/7 helpdesk staffed by the people who rack and run this hardware, averaging 10 to 20 minute response times. Tickets cover provisioning, the network, hardware faults and the facility, and we will happily point you in the right direction on the software side too.
